Detox Staples for a Healthy Stomach (and Body)

Prunes contain sorbitol, a stool-loosening sugar. Its juice is a vitamin-packed, fiber-rich drink that is also a good source of iron and potassium. It’s also loaded with phytochemicals, which prevent the oxidation of bad cholesterol.

Lemons contain high levels of vitamins A and C, and minerals like potassium, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, and iron. It is also rich in bioflavanoids (or vitamin P), antioxidants that stimulate bile production for better digestion.

Green tea contains catechins, which helps lower LDL cholesterol. Studies have also shown that the antioxidants present in green tea aid in more efficient fat elimination and control, by raising the body’s metabolism.
